  • Length of stay: The longer you or your loved one stays in treatment, the greater the chance of sobriety. It is common today for people to stay in treatment for 30 days or more, and more insurance companies are seeing the value and the success of 90 day programs.
  • Out-of-network benefits: This sounds like a frightening topic because most families think that by utilizing their out-of-network benefits, they will somehow be responsible financially if their carrier denies the claims. Once a treatment center reviews your policy, it determines and therefore takes the risk of accepting your loved one. In the rare event your insurance company denies coverage, the center will not put you on the hook for payment.
  • Out of state: Again, most families are scared of this but they needn’t be. The farther your loved one is from the familiar comfort zone and getting high, the better the chance for recovery. Time and again, families challenge us on this.  When they decide to have their loved one stay close to home, the sad result may be their loved one leaving the rehab center too soon or meeting a local connection while in treatment, resulting in early relapse.

Family First Intervention has built relationships over time with several treatment centers.  We also have our own billing verification department that focuses solely on confirming insurance benefits and working with the centers to set up a plan that is going to be both successful and cost-feasible for you, your family, and your loved one needing substance abuse treatment.
