Mark Wenzel
Intervention Coordinator
Mark has a passion for helping families overcome the barriers that keep them cycling through the insanity of their loved one’s substance use and mental disorder struggles. He offers a professional connection because he genuinely cares and is inspired by the ones who have come before you- those willing to step outside their comfort zones and fight for their lives and family recovery. Mark understands that the Intended Patient is not the only one in the family who is struggling. The fear of change, even when positive, must not be greater than the fear of staying the same. Mark allows space for families to become more aware, more powerful, and more accepting of the change that must occur during the healing process. He does this with patience, understanding, and compassion.
Mark has worked in the Mental Health industry for the last 20 years, including admissions and case management for impactful primary mental health programs that drive long-term successful outcomes. In his personal life, Mark enjoys staying fit through mountain biking and other adventure sports. He is a father of four children and believes in healthy, nurturing family systems built on love and affirmation.
Mark believes we can let go of the idea that happiness comes from external possessions and that true healing is an inside job. Families and their loved ones can be unified and prosperous and achieve happiness by doing the right thing and living a lifestyle of family recovery. Doing so leads your loved ones to their success and independence.
I am proud to be helping families and believe in the precepts and design for living eloquently presented by Family First Intervention.
